Corentin Louis Kervran
Louis Kervran is one of those forgotten researchers whose work is still of great interest. He was a physicist and from his Bretagne childhood days an inquisitive person. Also later he had a remarkable eye for things that do not fit the general opinion. He asked himself
- how a molting crab can produce a new carapace within a few days if it lives in a small body of water next to the sea and does not have enough calcium itself
- why a fresh apple has ten times as much iron as manganese, whereas a dried apple only has seven times as much
- why we can harvest from fields year after year even without any fertiliser or manure at all
